Who this covers
This policy covers soccerdecision.com and the Soccer Decision game. Contact: hello@academyparent.com.
Kids under 13
- Kids never give us an email or a last name. Only a parent signs up.
- For each player, the parent adds a first name (or nickname), an age and a position. That is all.
- Kid screens have no ads and no ad tracking pixels.
- A parent can delete a player from the parent view at any time.
What we collect
- Parent email: to send a sign-in link, and the test report if you ask for it.
- Player profile: first name, age, position.
- Game progress: plays, scores, streaks, so progress is saved across devices.
- Usage events: simple first-party events (for example, "test started") stored on our own server, to see what works. We do not put third-party analytics scripts or ad pixels on our pages.
- Device storage: if you play without signing up, progress stays in your browser's local storage on that phone.
- One sign-in cookie for signed-in parents. No ad cookies.
The Soccer IQ test
The test score is free with no email. If you unlock the report, we store the parent email and the kid's age on our soccer parent email list, run by our sister site Academy Parent (academyparent.com), and send occasional soccer IQ tips and product updates. You can unsubscribe from any email.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data. We use service providers to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting and database) and an email provider to send sign-in links and emails. They process data only to provide that service.
When a parent joins our email list (for example, to unlock the test report), our server sends Meta a hashed (scrambled) copy of the parent email so we can measure our own ads. We never send kid data to Meta, and there is no Meta pixel on our pages.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account is active. Ask us to delete your account and your players' data at the email above, and we will.
